"Crossing Boundaries in Uptown (2013–present)"
"archi-treasures partnered with Voice of the People in Uptown to create and promote a positive image of the Uptown Community through a series of artwork. Sidewalk gallery murals, historic photo panels, and a sculpture are meant to document the history of Uptown and serve safe passage markings. The artwork is being created though employment programs for Uptown youth, a luncheon with long-term neighborhood residents, and partnerships with local schools and nonprofits. The artwork brings to light Uptown’s rich history, strengths, diversity, progress, investments and successes; with the intention of fostering a sense of pride, safety, and empowerment."

The new letters are light and dark to pop-out against a background that is also light and dark.

The "old" look.

The garden is nestled between the Lakefront bike path and Lake Shore Drive.
